Married For 71 Years, They Died 12 Hours Apart In One Day

A Georgia couple who were married for 71 years have died within hours of each other. Marilyn DeLaigle, 88, and her husband Herbert DeLaigle, 94, died Friday, July 12.

According to the obituary, Mr. Dreger was a retired member of the United States army and had served in the army for more than 20 years, during which time the couple lived in many states, including Germany for six years. Mrs. Drego was the leader of the boy scouts, and before that she was a florist, and very fond of animals.

Marilyn and Herbert drego have 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
