As the pandemic continues to wreak havoc around the world, the coronavirus has changed nearly everything about how we live. Rather than having actual human models walk the catwalk, this year designer Jeremy Scott chose to release Moschino’s Spring 2021 collection modelled by puppets.

Jeremy has enlisted the help of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create this show on a miniature set populated entirely by marionettes. In perhaps the most Covid-safe move possible, the audience were also puppets, complete with with a marionette version of Anna Wintour in the front row.

Watch the unconventional fashion show below:

“As the world seems to be splitting along the seams, the bare inner workings of something new will be exposed,” wrote Moschino creative director Jeremy:”my Scott on the physical invite.”

Scott created doll-sized versions of each of the 40 looks, which largely comprised lavish dresses and gowns featuring materials such as golden jacquard and pastel-hued tulle.

Each was designed to reveal the seams and trims that are typically concealed on the inverse of the garment.
