Tokyo Olympic Athletes Village Converted Apartments

With the postponement of the Tokyo Olympic Games and Paralympics, the large real estate companies that have developed the apartments in the Athletes village have recently coordinated and contacted the contractors who have purchased the apartments in advance, indicating that the owners need to postpone the apartment occupancy arrangement for about one year.

Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Athletes Village is located in The Central District of Tokyo Qinghai area. The village was originally planned to be renovated after the Paralympics, with 23 apartment blocks for sale or lease, expected to house more than 5,600 units and about 12,000 people. The apartments at the athletes’ village were due to be moved in in March 2023, but will have to be moved in about a year later because of the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

At present, the sale of converted apartments in the Athletes Village has been suspended, but about 940 apartments have been signed for sale. At present, the real estate developers are negotiating with the buyers, and buyers who cannot accept the delay may choose to cancel the contract.
